INTERNATIONAL PATENTS
The unique products of the Kids Project are covered by international patents.
PRODUCT ENGINEERING
Biomechanics developed with the Bologna Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute.
PRODUCT DESIGN
The Kids Project was developed in collaboration with prestigious studios: Micheli Architects developed the design while Rainbow – a cartoon producer - “loaned” us the names and characters of the equipment.
More specifically the shapes of the isotonic and cardio equipment were designed by the architects to resemble ghosts (which are white). In choosing the names, Rainbow associated the equipment to the TV cartoon series Tommy & Oscar.
These “aesthetical” expedients were very important to offer a product designed entirely for children who see the machine as new friend with a shape and name that they can relate to rather than just a piece of equipment.
UNICEF
To support the social commitment of Panatta Sport and the Kids Project in 2001 the Kids logo was embellished with that of UNICEF, the leading children’s rights organisation in the world.
SCIENTIFIC BASIS
Panatta Sport, which has always supported scientific research, promoted the following experiments in order to endorse the validity of the Kids Project:
Kids Project: pilot study on the use of new educational machines for training strength in pre-teenage years (A.Maone, P.Mondarini, E.Guerra, Medicina dello Sport – volume 54 supplement 1 no.3, September 2001).
Influence of physical exercise in overweight children (research carried out in collaboration with the Rome Umberto 1 Polyclinic, January-May 2005).
Mooooving Kids!!!! in a plan of functional recovery (research carried out in collaboration with the Ancona “G. Salesi” Children’s Hospital).
Annual Motor Educational Protocol including muscle resistance and strength exercises appropriate for primary school children (Research carried out in collaboration with the Urbino Motor Sciences University).
